All Progressives Congress, APC, National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, has described President Bola Tinubu as the ‘grandmaster of coalition’.

Basiru said Tinubu will defeat the coalition being championed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, because he is the grandmaster.

Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai and other opposition stakeholders had met on Tuesday night to finalize modalities for the official unveiling of the coalition.

The coalition, according to Atiku, is meant to ensure Tinubu’s reelection bid fails in 2027.

Speaking yesterday, El-Rufai had vowed that the coalition would ensure that Tinubu is returned to Lagos State because he would be removed from power.

Reacting, the APC national secretary dismissed the viability of the coalition, stressing that Tinubu is an expert in coalition-building.
