Governor AbdulRazaq Pays Homage to Emir After Hajj

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, following his return from the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Governor’s visit to the Emir’s palace yesterday marked his first public engagement upon arriving in Ilorin, underscoring the deep respect and traditional reverence he holds for the Ilorin Emirate.

The brief but symbolic visit reflects the strong ties between the state government and the traditional institution. Governor AbdulRazaq expressed gratitude for a successful pilgrimage and prayed for continued peace and progress in Kwara State. The Emir welcomed the Governor warmly and offered prayers for his leadership and the wellbeing of the people.

Meanwhile, the ongoing 2025 Hajj exercise continues to witness significant progress in the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims, with the total number of returnees now standing at 6,528 as Max Air completed its 16th flight today.
