The emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, yesterday received a report on the 2025 Grand Durbar from the Committee.
The report was presented by the members led by the Chairman, Engr Yahaya Alapansanpa, ROYAL NEWS has gathered.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described this year’s festival as highly successful, historic and eventful, stressing that the festival showcased the culture, heritage and peaceful nature of people of the Emirate.
He commended the government and people of the Emirate for their support in ensuring that the festival ended without any rancour and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements put in place.
The Emir described members of the committee as people with impeccable characters stressing that since he inaugurated them eight years ago, they have not disappointed him and people of the Emirate and urged them to continue to further promote the festival, value and culture of the Emirate across the globe.
The Monarch offered special prayers for members of the committee and described their efforts as that of humanity service.
