The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed grief over the death of the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle II. The monarch, a second-class traditional ruler in Ifelodun Local Government Area, passed away recently.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq also extended condolences to the people of Idofian, describing the late king as a man of peace and a significant pillar in the community whose passing marks a great loss.
Similarly, Former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki joined in mourning the monarch, describing him as a respected royal father who led with dignity, wisdom, and a deep commitment to harmony. His message was conveyed in a statement by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir.
The late Oba Omikunle II was widely regarded for his role in promoting peace and development in Idofian and beyond.
