Former presidential candidate and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has announced the defection of thousands of Kano State residents from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NNPP.
Kwankwaso shared the development in a post on his official X account today, describing the event as a significant moment for the party.
Speaking at the gathering held at his Kano residence, the former governor assured the new members of fair treatment and full integration into the NNPP. He attributed the growing support to the leadership style of the party in Kano.
Kwankwaso also urged others considering a switch to the NNPP to do so confidently, noting that the party’s expanding base reflects public trust in its political direction.
