The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) will hold its 2025 All Nigeria Editors Conference from November 3rd to 6th in Abuja, with the theme Democratic Governance and National Cohesion: The Role of Editors.
According to a statement by NGE President Eze Anaba and General Secretary Onuoha Ukeh, the event will be opened by President Bola Tinubu and will feature discussions on electoral integrity, national unity, and the responsibilities of the media ahead of the 2027 elections.
Newmen gathered that the conference will draw more than 500 media professionals and include keynote addresses and papers on topics ranging from judicial integrity in election disputes to the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism.
The Guild further noted that the gathering is designed to promote unity, inclusivity, and accountability, stressing that editors play a vital role in strengthening democracy and fostering national cohesion in the face of Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.
