Algeria defender Rayan Aït-Nouri has warned that his side faces a difficult challenge against Nigeria ahead of their quarter-final clash at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Algeria, coached by Vladimir Petković, have enjoyed a flawless run at the tournament so far, winning all their matches and remaining the only team yet to concede a goal.

Despite the Desert Foxes’ impressive form, Aït-Nouri said the Super Eagles present a different level of challenge, describing Nigeria as a strong and experienced opponent.

He noted that the quarter-final would be a demanding encounter and stressed the need for Algeria to be fully prepared.

According to the defender, there are no easy games at this stage of the competition, adding that focus and discipline would be crucial if Algeria are to progress further in the tournament.
