The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has dismissed a widely circulated message claiming that academic activities would resume on Monday, March 9, describing it as false and unauthorised.
In an official statement issued on February 2, 2026, from the Office of the Acting Registrar, the Polytechnic clarified that the notice, titled “Official Notice to all Kwarapoly Students,” did not originate from the institution. Students were advised to disregard the message entirely.
Speaking on behalf of the Management, Acting Registrar A. H. Amin reiterated that the Polytechnic has not announced any resumption date. He warned that acting on unverified information could cause confusion and unnecessary inconvenience.
The statement emphasised that the Polytechnic will share legitimate updates regarding resumption dates, academic activities, and other official matters only after receiving directives from the appropriate authorities.
All approved announcements, the Management said, will be communicated exclusively through recognised institutional channels.
Students were urged to rely solely on these official platforms for accurate and timely information.
The Polytechnic reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the student body properly informed and warned against spreading or acting on rumours.
