Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, will depart for Dakar on Tuesday ahead of their crucial clash with Senegal in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Senegal will host the second leg of the third-round qualifying tie on Saturday in Dakar, with Nigeria holding a narrow advantage from the first leg.
The Falconets secured a 1–0 victory in the opening encounter, thanks to a 51st-minute header by Kindness Ifeanyi.
The team, coached by Moses Aduku, will travel from Abeokuta to Lagos before connecting a flight to the Senegalese capital.
Nigeria need at least a draw in the return leg to progress to the next round of the qualifiers.
The aggregate winner of the tie will advance to face either Guinea-Bissau or Malawi in the final qualifying round, after the two sides played out a 1–1 draw in their first-leg meeting.
