BREAKING NEWS…….AbdulRazaq Inaugurates Committee To Support Woro Attack Victims

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has inaugurated a seven-member intervention committee to coordinate support for victims and survivors of the recent terrorist attack on Woro community in the state.

The governor said the committee is mandated to engage directly with affected families, community leaders and residents to assess urgent needs, including medical care, rehabilitation, livelihood restoration, infrastructure rebuilding and psychosocial support.

Speaking at the inauguration on Tuesday evening, AbdulRazaq again condemned the attack and assured residents that the government would pursue justice for the victims while strengthening security across the state.

Recalling the February 3, 2026 incident, the governor said at least 75 people were killed, with several homes destroyed, describing the attack as a brutal assault on innocent citizens.

“We will leave no stone unturned in pursuing justice for our people and in working with federal authorities and security agencies to ensure that such an incident never happens again,” AbdulRazaq said.

He added that the committee would serve as a bridge between the government and the community, ensuring that all interventions are transparent, effective and driven by the actual needs of the people.

Chairman of the committee, the Kiwozi of Kugiji, Hon. Ahmed Ibn Muhammad, pledged that members would work closely with affected residents to identify and address their most pressing concerns.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the state cabinet, community leaders from Kaiama, and senior civil servants.
