CJN To Swear In 14 Federal High Court Judges

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, swear in 14 newly appointed judges of the Federal High Court.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold in Courtroom Two of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in Abuja.

The appointments follow the recommendation of 14 candidates by the National Judicial Council to President Bola Tinubu for approval as judges of the Federal High Court.

Those to be inaugurated include Amida Hassan Suleiman, Barau Saidu Muhammad, Chinelo Conchita Igboko, Chioma Angela Onuegbu, Edingah Galumje, Vera Eneabo Ibrahim, Abubakar Musa Usman Salihu and Aisha Yunusa.

Others are Ikpeme Joy Bassey, Shehu Umaru Adamu, Mohammed Ibrahim Buba, Nendelmum Judith Eigege-Binjin, Usoro Kuyik Uduak and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus.

In a statement on Monday, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Supreme Court, Dr Festus Akande, said members of the bench, bar and media organisations are expected to attend the ceremony.

He added that strict compliance with the court’s dress code and security protocols will be required for entry into the courtroom.

“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation,” the statement said.
