12,860 Candidates Register For JAMB UTME In Jigawa

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that 12,860 candidates have registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Jigawa State.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in Dutse, the state capital, by JAMB Public Relations Officer, Mukarram Bello Adamu.

“The candidates registered across 16 computer-based test centers throughout the state,” Adamu said.

The registration breakdown shows that the JAMB State Office recorded 1,740 candidates, the Federal University Dutse centers registered 4,936, and Bunyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, registered 1,622 candidates.

Other notable centers include Future Map Foundation, Hadejia, with 1,662 candidates; Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel, with 2,287 candidates; and Jigawa State College of Advanced and Remedial Studies, Babura, with 134 candidates.

Additional centers are Jigawa State Institute of Information Technology, Kazaure, with 569 candidates; Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, with 596; Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, with 28; BHT Inter Systems, Dutse, with 1,091; Al Hikmah CBT Center, Birnin Kudu, with 728; and G-City College of Nursing Sciences, Gwaram, with 678 candidates.

Adamu reminded candidates that UTME PIN vending will close on 26 February, while registration ends on 28 February 2026.

He also stated that Direct Entry registration will run from 2 March to 25 April 2026 and will be conducted exclusively at the JAMB office in Dutse.

Candidates were urged to complete their registration promptly to avoid missing deadlines and take advantage of the opportunity to sit for the examinations.

The JAMB PRO assured candidates of a smooth registration process and encouraged them to visit the official JAMB website for further details and guidance.
