
The Emir of Ilorin Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CON, has congratulated Jimoh Olohundare Moshood on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police.
Moshood, who currently serves as Commissioner of Police in the Lagos State Police Command, was elevated to the new rank by the Police Service Commission.
In a goodwill message issued on Friday by his Press Secretary, Abdulazeez Arowona, the monarch described Moshood as a dedicated and experienced officer with strong expertise in anti-robbery operations, intelligence, communications, and information management.
Sulu-Gambari praised the officer for representing the Ilorin Emirate positively and for his commitment to national service.
“Thank you for being a proud son and a great ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate, working diligently as a patriotic Nigerian and a detribalised global citizen,” the Emir said.
The monarch also commended the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the leadership of the Police Service Commission for recognising Moshood’s service and approving his promotion.
He noted that the elevation was a reflection of Moshood’s years of dedication and performance in the Nigeria Police Force.
The Emir also congratulated other officers promoted across the country, describing their advancement as well deserved and urging them to continue serving the nation with integrity.
He prayed for wisdom and strength for the newly promoted officers as they take on their expanded responsibilities.
