The Benue State Quality Assurance and Examinations Board (BEQAEB) has announced that registration for the 2026 Mock Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) is currently ongoing, with a deadline fixed for March 31, 2026.
In a public notice, the board urged school principals, parents, guardians, and students to treat the registration process with urgency, describing the mock examination as a key component of the academic calendar.
BEQAEB stated that registration is strictly online and must be completed through its official portal.
The board emphasized that the Mock SSCE is a mandatory qualifying examination for all prospective Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) students.
It added that only candidates who register and participate in the mock examination will be eligible for accreditation to sit external examinations in the following year.
According to the board, failure to take part in the mock examination will also affect students’ promotion to SS3.
“All concerned are strongly advised to ensure strict compliance with these directives,” said Jeffrey Adzam, the board’s Information Officer.
The directive underscores efforts by the state to strengthen examination preparedness and maintain academic standards in secondary schools.
