BREAKING…..Soludo Sworn In for Second Term as Anambra Governor

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has been officially sworn in for his second term in office at a ceremony held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

The event, attended by dignitaries from across Nigeria and abroad, featured top government officials, elder statesmen, and traditional rulers. Among the notable attendees were Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, former Commonwealth Secretary-General Chief Emeka Anyaoku, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Soludo arrived at the venue at 11:18 a.m., accompanied by his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, and other high-ranking officials.

At 11:50 a.m., the governor took the oath of allegiance followed by the oath of office, a process that lasted approximately five minutes.

He then signed the oaths in the presence of the state’s Chief Judge at 11:55 a.m., receiving applause from the assembled guests.

The ceremony marks the official start of Soludo’s second term, which will run until 2030.

Observers noted the smooth and well-coordinated nature of the event, highlighting the presence of both political and traditional leaders as a symbol of unity and support.

Governor Soludo’s re-election reflects continued public confidence in his leadership and the policies he implemented during his first term.

The swearing-in underscores the democratic process in Anambra State and sets the stage for the next phase of governance under Soludo’s administration.

Officials indicated that preparations are already underway for Soludo’s policy agenda for the new term, focusing on economic development, infrastructure, and social welfare programs.
