Onochie Accuses APC of Withholding Forms From Aspirants

Lauretta Onochie, a former aide to late President Muhammadu Buhari, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to issue nomination forms to aspirants despite collecting payments from them.

In a post on her verified X handle on Tuesday, Onochie alleged that some aspirants across the country paid significant sums for party forms but had yet to receive them, claiming the party had already settled for preferred candidates ahead of its convention.

“How did APC become a 419 political association? Across the nation, APC aspirants are paying huge amounts of money for forms, but APC refuses to give them the forms they have paid for,” she wrote.

“They have already nominated the candidates but are still selling forms. This is not democracy. This is fraud. Whatever Bola Tinubu touches, he destroys,” she added.

The allegations come amid preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention. Screening of aspirants seeking various national offices was held on Tuesday at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, according to earlier reports.

The APC has yet to respond publicly to the claims at the time of filing this report.
