Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday hosted delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Rivers State at his residence in Abuja.

Among those in attendance were the party’s National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, senators, members of the House of Representatives, and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, alongside other state assembly members and senior APC leaders from the state.

The meeting took place days after the APC South-South Zonal Congress held in Asaba.

At the congress, Giadom was re-elected as APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), retaining his position in the party’s zonal leadership structure.

Also at the congress, Samuel Nwanosike emerged as the party’s South-South Zonal Publicity Secretary.

The Abuja meeting is seen as part of ongoing consultations among party stakeholders in the South-South following the zonal congress and recent developments within the APC’s regional structure.
