Apostle Suleman Blames Leadership Failures for Jos Attack

Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries has condemned the recent attack in Jos, linking it to poor governance and misplaced political priorities in Nigeria.

In a social media post, Suleman criticized leaders for prioritizing politics over the safety of citizens, describing the incident as “another sign that leadership is failing.”

He said the attack highlights officials’ focus on political matters rather than addressing insecurity, emphasizing the need for compassionate and responsible leadership.

“Leadership that puts politics before protecting people’s lives is unacceptable,” Suleman wrote, urging authorities to shift focus from political posturing to public safety.

The cleric also warned that current leadership decisions could have long-term consequences, noting that “future generations will judge whether this leadership supports, allows, or repeats what it once strongly opposed.”

Suleman stressed that while prayers are valuable, they cannot substitute for effective governance and accountability.

“I believe in the power of prayers, but prayers alone cannot take the place of responsibility. We need compassionate leaders. These current individuals show no sign of empathy,” he said.

He expressed sympathy for the victims, offering prayers for families affected by the attack and acknowledging their pain.

“We support the families who lost their loved ones and pray for strength to face the unbearable pain of their loss,” Suleman added.

The cleric’s statement underscores growing public concern over leadership and security in Nigeria amid repeated violent incidents.
