Following the recent resignation of the former office holder, this moment presents a unique opportunity to strengthen leadership with someone who is deeply rooted in the people and the grassroots. It would be highly commendable of the President and the FCT minister to consider appointing an indigene to this position, as this will further promote inclusiveness, fairness, and a stronger connection with the local communities within the FCT. Having an indigene assume this office will inspire confidence and ensure that the interests, culture, and aspirations of the people are genuinely represented.
As a proud indigene of the FCT and someone with strong ties to the grassroots, I possess a deep understanding of the needs and realities of our communities. My background within the traditional institution of the FCT has given me valuable experience in community engagement, conflict resolution, and leadership at the grassroots level. This has shaped my commitment to service and strengthened my ability to effectively represent and serve the people.
My aspiration to serve as Mandate Secretary is driven by a sincere desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth, development, and effective coordination of the Area Councils. I am committed to upholding the mandate of this office with integrity, transparency, accountability, and dedication.
I humbly seek the support and consideration of all stakeholders. I believe that entrusting this responsibility to a grassroots indigene with strong traditional and community ties will be a commendable step toward strengthening governance and inclusivity in the FCT.
Thank you.
