Gerrard Predicts Salah Likely Saudi Move After Liverpool Exit

Steven Gerrard has suggested that Mohamed Salah is likely to join a club in the Saudi Pro League when he leaves Liverpool FC at the end of the season.

Speaking on Stick to Football, a segment of The Overlap, Gerrard dismissed suggestions by Gary Neville that Salah could move to either Chelsea FC or Arsenal FC.

“I don’t think he would do that,” Gerrard said, referring to the possibility of Salah joining a Premier League rival.

The former Liverpool captain added that while a move to another major European club cannot be ruled out, he believes a transfer to Saudi Arabia is the most likely outcome.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another big club somewhere else, but I don’t think he will go to a rival in England,” Gerrard said. “I think it will be Saudi. Having lived there and seen how highly he’s regarded, that’s where I’d put my money.”

Salah recently confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, bringing an end to a highly successful spell at the club.

The Egyptian forward has been widely linked with clubs in the Saudi Pro League in recent transfer windows, reflecting the league’s continued push to attract high-profile international players.

His expected departure is likely to trigger significant transfer interest as clubs prepare for the summer window.
