Donald Trump on Wednesday warned that any country supplying military weapons to Iran would face immediate 50 percent tariffs on goods exported to the United States.

Trump issued the warning in a post on Truth Social, stating that the measure would take effect without exceptions.

“A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions,” he wrote.

The statement signals a potential escalation in U.S. economic pressure related to Iran’s military support networks and could affect countries maintaining defence ties with Tehran.

Trump did not name any specific country in the post, but the warning underscores Washington’s hardline stance on limiting arms cooperation with Iran.
