PRESIDENT TINUBU URGES AMBASSADORS TO PROMOTE INVESTMENT AND IMPROVE NIGERIA’S IMAGE

President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigeria’s newly appointed ambassadors and high commissioners to improve the country’s global image, attract foreign investments and strengthen strategic partnerships.

Speaking at the opening of an induction course for the envoys in Abuja, Tinubu, represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, said the appointments reflect confidence in their ability to advance Nigeria’s interests globally.

The President urged the envoys to adopt modern, results-driven diplomacy by combining traditional engagement with digital diplomacy, strategic communication and public diplomacy to respond to evolving global challenges.

He also called on them to promote trade, attract foreign direct investment and technology, while prioritising the welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora and projecting the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Tinubu further announced a reordering of Nigeria’s foreign policy 4D Doctrine, shifting its priorities to Demography, Development, Diaspora and Democracy as part of efforts to align diplomacy with national interests.
