Kwara Police Vow Justice After Deadly Camp Attack

The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Ojo Adekimi, has pledged to deploy operational, intelligence, and tactical resources to track down those responsible for the attack on a Police Mobile Force camp in Tenebo, Kaiama Local Government Area.

At least three police officers were killed in the Saturday assault, while several others sustained injuries.

Condemning the incident, Adekimi described the attack as “heinous and cowardly,” noting that the victims died while defending their communities.

“The fallen officers paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, bravely standing to defend the safety and security of our communities. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten,” he said.

The police command also extended condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased officers, assuring them of continued support.

“We also pray for the swift recovery of the injured personnel currently receiving treatment. No words can fully capture the pain of this loss, but the command stands firmly with the bereaved families,” the commissioner added.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring that those behind the attack are apprehended and brought to justice.
