WAR: Trump Says US Doesn’t Need China on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has said Washington does not need China’s assistance to deal with the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters on Tuesday ahead of his planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“I don’t think we need any help with Iran,” Trump said when asked whether Beijing could play a role in ending the conflict.

However, the U.S. president added that he would welcome any support China may be willing to offer in efforts to restore stability.

Trump also dismissed concerns about the economic impact of the war, saying inflation would ease after the conflict due to increased global oil supply.

The conflict began in February after joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran triggered a wider regional confrontation that has disrupted oil shipping routes and heightened tensions in the Middle East.
