Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing its three-year performance as a “monumental failure.”
Dalung made the remarks on Friday during an interview on News Central Television, where he reacted to the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) celebration of the administration’s third anniversary.
He said the period had been marked by worsening economic hardship, rising poverty, and widespread public dissatisfaction.
According to him, “The three years of Tinubu are those of monumental failure and incompetence. Three years of untold hardship, trauma, hunger and poverty for Nigerians.”
Dalung further stated that the anniversary celebration had been overshadowed by the prevailing economic challenges facing citizens across the country.
He added that, in his view, Nigerians had never experienced such difficult conditions in the country’s history.
“The third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration has been overshadowed by worsening economic conditions and growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians,” he said.
He concluded that the past three years should not be remembered positively, describing them as a period he wished “would never exist on the calendar of our history as a nation.”
