Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu has completed a permanent move to Al-Ittihad SC after leaving Tunisian side Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

The 23-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Libyan club following the expiration of his deal with Esperance.

Ogbelu joined the Tunisian giants from Nasarawa United in 2023 and went on to make 54 league appearances for the club, scoring two goals during his stay.

The midfielder was part of the Nigeria national under-20 football team squad that finished third at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Following the tournament, Ogbelu was among four players invited to train with the senior national team, the Nigeria national football team.
