
The Chief Executive Officer of Emirate Radio 98.5 FM, Ilorin, Dr. AbdulAzeez Arowona, has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Federal Commissioner representing Kwara State at the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Isiaka Alada Yahaya, reaffirming the station’s commitment to supporting the Commission’s public awareness efforts.
Dr. Arowona, accompanied by three senior members of staff, visited the commissioner on Wednesday to congratulate him on his appointment and discuss areas of collaboration between the radio station and the NPC.
During the visit, the Emirate FM delegation pledged to partner with the Commission by promoting timely and accurate public information, particularly on population data, birth and death registration, and other civic registration initiatives. The team also prayed for a successful and impactful tenure for the commissioner.
In his response, Dr. Alada thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to conducting a credible and reliable national population census.
He also highlighted the NPC’s ongoing nationwide digital birth and death registration campaign, describing it as a key initiative to strengthen Nigeria’s population database and support effective national planning and development.
