The National Identity Management Commission, Kwara State Office, has stepped up advocacy for nationwide NIN enrollment, with EMIRATE RADIO 98.5 FM as a strategic media partner to drive awareness, accessibility and safeguards.

The State Coordinator of NIMC Kwara, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Mohammed, disclosed this when the Managing Director/CEO of EMIRATE RADIO 98.5 FM, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona led management team of the station to his office.

He said the partnership is aimed at ensuring every resident of Kwara State obtains a National Identity Number, while protecting vulnerable groups from exclusion, fraud, and misinformation during the enrollment process.

NIMC Kwara will work with Emirate Radio to guarantee that persons with disabilities, the elderly, rural women and non-literate citizens can access NIN services safely and with dignity.

Abubakar added that, NIMC is ensuring that maximum support and attention is given to Persons with Disabilities to facilitate their enrollment. We have put measures in place including priority queues, assistive personnel, and accessible enrollment centers so that no PWDs is left behind.”

In his remarks, the Emirate 98.5 FM boss, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, thanked the commission for the supports and applauded the leadership of NIMC for embarking on critical assignments for the nation by providing enrollment for both Nigerians and foreigners.

He added that adequate information and sensitization will further support up-to-date National Data Base enrollment of the people as well as provide valuable advocacy against fraudulent activities among other social vices in the society.
