The Federal Fire Service, Kwara State Command, has a new State Controller following the formal handover of leadership from Assistant Controller of Fire, ACF Bakare Mary, to Assistant Controller of Fire, ACF Ibrahim Adisa Sarafadeen.

The ceremony took place on Thursday at the Command Headquarters, Federal Secretariat, Fate, Ilorin, marking the official transition of leadership within the Command.

In her farewell address, the outgoing State Controller, ACF Bakare Mary, expressed gratitude to God and the management of the Federal Fire Service for the opportunity to serve.

She appreciated the management team, senior officers and personnel for their dedication and support throughout her tenure.

She urged members of the Command to extend the same cooperation to her successor and to continue upholding the discipline and professionalism of the Service. She also congratulated ACF Ibrahim Adisa Sarafadeen on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure.

In his acceptance remarks, the new State Controller, ACF Sarafadeen, commended his predecessor for her leadership and contributions to the growth of the Kwara Command.

He acknowledged the commitment of officers and personnel, describing their dedication as key to the Command’s achievements.

ACF Sarafadeen appealed for continued support and assured that he would build on existing successes while remaining committed to the protection of lives and property through efficient fire prevention and emergency response services across the state.

ACF Ibrahim Adisa Sarafadeen is an indigene of Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. He enlisted into the Federal Fire Service on July 24, 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has served in several strategic positions before his appointment as Kwara State Controller.

Highlights of the ceremony included the presentation of a citation to the outgoing Controller, presentation of the Service Flag, and the signing of official handover documents.
