The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the Olora of Ora, Oba Rilwan Olawale Aremu Yekini, on the conferment of his recent prestigious award.

According to the Emir, in a statement issued by his Spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, “The Olora is a worthy ambassador of the Yoruba cultural heritage and a dedicated promoter of peace, unity, and community development.”

He added that the award is a reflection of Oba Aremu’s exemplary leadership, commitment to the welfare of his people, and contributions to the growth of the traditional institution.

Alhaji further emphasised that traditional rulers remain custodians of culture and grassroots development, and that the honour bestowed on the Olora further underscores the important role of monarchs in nation building.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Olora of Ora more wisdom, good health, and long life on the throne to continue serving his people and humanity and also prayed for continued peace, progress, and harmony in Ora Kingdom and Kwara State at large.
