President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to his Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, following the death of his father, Chief Idowu Folorunsho Dada, who passed away at the age of 91.

The condolence message was conveyed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Earlier, Olusegun Dada announced his father’s passing in a post on X, writing: “Goodnight Dad. Till we meet to never part again. Say hello to mum.”

President Tinubu described the late Chief Dada as a man of integrity, discipline and compassion, noting that he lived a life of service and earned the respect of those who knew him.

The President also highlighted Chief Dada’s career as a former Sales Manager at NEXAN Kablemetal Nigeria Plc and praised his dedication to family, saying he raised his children, including Olusegun Dada, with strong moral values.

According to the statement, Tinubu also acknowledged the deceased’s commitment to the church and his exemplary family life.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the children of Pa Dada and the extended family members over the transition of their patriarch. I especially console Segun at this difficult time for the family. The family should find comfort in the legacy of service and good name left behind by Chief Dada,” the President said.

Tinubu prayed for the repose of Chief Dada’s soul and asked God to grant the bereaved family the strength to bear the loss.
