The City Boy Movement (CBM) has removed Ahmed Ajibola as its Oyo State Coordinator following disciplinary proceedings over allegations of gross misconduct, insubordination and actions deemed detrimental to the organisation.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the movement said the decision followed a disciplinary process that began on June 2, 2026, when Ajibola was served a notice to show cause over allegations contained in a petition submitted against him.

The notice, signed by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, accused Ajibola of making abusive and derogatory remarks against the movement’s national leadership, including the Director-General, as well as its patron, Barr. Seyi Tinubu. He was also alleged to have made disparaging comments about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Other allegations included acts of insubordination, disrespect for constituted authority, challenging a state leader to a physical confrontation, creating divisions within the Oyo State chapter and engaging in conduct capable of bringing the organisation into disrepute.

The movement said Ajibola was directed to submit a written defence within 48 hours, with the warning that disciplinary action could follow if his response was found to be unsatisfactory.

Meanwhile, the City Boy Movement announced the appointment of Hon. Adewale Oladiti as the new Oyo State Coordinator.

According to his appointment letter dated August 6, 2026, Oladiti was selected in recognition of his commitment, grassroots engagement and contributions to the growth of the movement in the state.

The organisation said the new coordinator will report directly to the Oyo State Director, who remains the principal coordinating authority of the City Boy Movement in the state.
