JAMB Resolves Over 5,000 Pending Complaints in Five Days

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has resolved more than 5,000 pending complaints within five days following an intervention by its Registrar, Professor Segun Aina.

According to a statement by JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, the development followed the Registrar’s decision to strengthen the Board’s Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM) Unit to ensure faster resolution of outstanding complaints.

Benjamin said the Registrar relocated his office to the SERVICOM Unit to gain first-hand insight into the challenges faced by candidates and other clients while seeking the Board’s services.

The move, he said, was aimed at facilitating the prompt resolution of pending cases and improving the quality of services provided by the Board.

The complaints addressed included difficulties creating profile codes, particularly for candidates who no longer have access to the telephone numbers used during previous registrations. Other issues involved biometric failures, payment problems, inappropriate examination centres, e-PIN challenges, technical difficulties and problems uploading required documents.

JAMB said the Registrar’s intervention reflects his commitment to using strategic communication and direct engagement with candidates to reposition the Board and ensure that its services meet the expectations of those who pay for them.

The Board reiterated its commitment to addressing candidates’ concerns and improving service delivery.
