Real Madrid have rejected approaches for three of their midfielders Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga  as the club plans to retain the trio, according to Marca.

The Spanish giants were approached over a potential move for captain Valverde but immediately turned down the offer without considering it.

Madrid also received enquiries for Tchouaméni and Camavinga, reportedly from Premier League clubs. However, the club did not evaluate the proposals because both players remain part of its plans.

The decision reflects Real Madrid’s desire to maintain depth in midfield ahead of the new season, despite interest from clubs in England.

Meanwhile, José Mourinho has strengthened his midfield with the free-agent signing of Bernardo Silva.

Real Madrid had also been interested in Manchester City midfielder Rodri but failed to secure his services. The Spanish midfielder is now reportedly set to join Barcelona in the coming days.
