The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, has died after collapsing during a party reconciliation meeting.

The incident occurred on Friday while Solomon was attending a meeting convened by a former APC chairman in the local government, Funsho Olumoko, to promote unity among party stakeholders.

According to reports, Solomon suddenly collapsed during the meeting, causing panic among those in attendance.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Kabba for medical treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the facility.

The circumstances surrounding his sudden death have not yet been officially disclosed.

Party members and other stakeholders were reportedly left in shock following the incident, which abruptly ended the reconciliation meeting.
