Nigerian winger Femi Azeez has described his move to Brighton & Hove Albion as a “dream come true” after completing a permanent transfer from Millwall on deadline day.

Brighton secured the 25-year-old’s services for €15m, making Azeez the most expensive player sale in Millwall’s history.

Azeez attracted significant attention with his performances for Millwall during the 2025/26 Championship season, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 league appearances.

His form earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Season and helped attract interest from Brighton, who moved to secure his services before the transfer window closed.

The former Reading player said the move represented the fulfilment of a long-held ambition.

“It’s every young boy’s dream, isn’t it? Something I’ve been dreaming of my whole life, and to be given this opportunity is like a dream come true, really,” Azeez said.
