The Ogun State Police Command has launched a documentation and verification exercise for all Supernumerary (SPY) Police personnel operating across the state.

Announced by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Oluseyi Babasiyi, the screening began on September 23, 2026, and is scheduled to run through October 7, 2026.

All organizations utilizing SPY personnel have been directed to ensure their officers report to the Police Public Relations Department at the State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, to complete the mandatory process.

Participating personnel are required to present several key documents, including training certificates and photocopies, warrant cards or certificates of “To Whom It May Concern,” recent passport photographs in approved uniform, and other relevant identification materials.

According to the police command, the initiative is designed to strengthen regulatory oversight, improve record-keeping, and ensure proper documentation for all SPY personnel operating within Ogun State.
