Emir Sulu-Gambari Hails Jani Ibrahim’s Election as FEWACCI President

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated the President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, on his election as President of the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI).

The Emir described Ibrahim’s election as a significant achievement for Kwara State and Nigeria, following the 11th Annual General Meeting of FEWACCI held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, Sulu-Gambari said the appointment reflected Ibrahim’s leadership and contributions to private-sector development and economic growth.

The Emir said Ibrahim’s emergence at the regional level was a source of pride for the country and expressed confidence in his ability to advance economic cooperation across West Africa.

He also commended Ibrahim’s tenure as NACCIMA president, saying he had contributed to strengthening unity and credibility within Nigeria’s organised private sector.

“We are confident that he will use this platform to champion intra-West African trade, promote enterprise growth and strengthen regional economic cooperation for shared prosperity,” the Emir said.

Sulu-Gambari prayed for wisdom, good health and a successful tenure for Ibrahim, expressing hope that his leadership would bring further recognition to Kwara State, Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
