Twelve schools battled for a place in the final, but only six made it
The Kwara Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) has concluded the semi-final stage of its 2026 Tax Club Quiz Competition, with six schools emerging as finalists.
The exercise, held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, was conducted via an online Computer-Based Test (CBT). The twelve participating schools wrote the test from their respective locations under the monitoring of the KWIRS Tax Club Advocacy Committee and Mrs. Aina Bose Eunice, who represented the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development.
The finalists are Oro Grammar School, Oro and Ansar-u-deen College, Offa (Kwara South); Government Secondary School, Lafiagi and Government Secondary School, Ilesha Baruba (Kwara North); and St. Anthony’s Secondary School, Ilorin and Ebenezer High School, Ilorin (Kwara Central).
The schools will now compete for the N2.5 million star prize at the grand finale scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in Ilorin.
The annual competition, organized by KWIRS in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, seeks to promote tax education among secondary school students and raise a generation of tax-compliant citizens.
