A woman identified as Nigeria’s Ebola index patient has reportedly been evacuated from the country aboard a medical air ambulance, according to the news outlet.

The evacuation reportedly took place early Monday at the private jet terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, citing sources familiar with the development.

According to the report, a convoy of three vehicles, including ambulances and diplomatic vehicles, arrived at the airport’s private wing. Airport officials were said to have cordoned off the area as preparations for the evacuation proceeded.

Report showed a video footage of medical evacuation aircraft preparing to transport the woman.

The news outlet identified the woman as the wife of a Swiss diplomat serving in Nigeria. However, the report did not provide further details about her condition or the destination of the aircraft.
