Oshiomhole, Arise TV Host Rufai Oseni Clash During Live Interview

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, clashed with Arise Television presenter Rufai Oseni during a live interview on the station’s Morning Show on Friday.

The disagreement followed questions about the political activities of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and President Bola Tinubu’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

Oshiomhole became displeased with Oseni’s interviewing style, accusing the presenter of repeatedly interrupting him while he attempted to respond to the questions.

The former All Progressives Congress national chairman insisted that he should be allowed to answer without interruption, saying the interviewer should show him the respect due to a guest.

“I won’t allow you to continue with this tradition of speaking to yourself and answering yourself. You asked three questions and I will reply to them. And you have no right to interrupt when I am replying,” Oshiomhole said.

He added that interviewers should exercise patience and allow guests to complete their responses.

“Let’s agree on international best practices. You must have the patience to listen to my answer. And you must treat me as a guest with respect. Rufai, I am very ready for you,” he said.

The exchange occurred as Oseni sought Oshiomhole’s views on Wike and Uzodimma’s political activities, as well as concerns over Tinubu’s foreign trips.

Responding to the political questions, Oshiomhole maintained that Wike was not receiving preferential treatment over other political figures.
