STATE CONTROLLER, FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, KWARA STATE COMMAND, PAYS COURTESY VISITS TO EMIR OF ILORIN, SSG


The newly appointed State Controller, Federal Fire Service, Kwara State Command, Assistant Controller of Fire, (ACF) Ibrahim Adisa Sarafadeen, on Tuesday, 28th July, 2026, paid courtesy visits to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, and the Secretary to the Government of Kwara State (SSG), Professor Mamman Saba Jibril, as part of his familiarisation visits to key stakeholders aimed at strengthening collaboration in safeguarding lives and property across Kwara State.

During the visit to the Emir’s Palace, ACF Ibrahim Adisa Sarafadeen, an indigene of Ilorin, appreciated the Emir for granting the delegation audience and sought his royal blessings and support. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to intensifying public fire safety awareness, strengthening emergency response, and working closely with traditional institutions, community leaders, and other stakeholders to reduce fire incidents across Kwara State.

In his remarks, the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, congratulated the State Controller on his appointment and commended the Federal Fire Service for its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property. The Emir assured the Command of the continued support of the traditional institution and encouraged residents to remain safety conscious and cooperate with emergency responders.

The delegation also visited the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Kwara State, where they were received by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Alhaji Ganiyu Jidda, on behalf of the SSG, Professor Mamman Saba Jibril. He acknowledged the vital role of the Federal Fire Service in ensuring public safety and urged the new State Controller to leverage his position as a son of the soil to advance the Service in Kwara State. He further charged him to remain diligent in the discharge of his duties and wished him a successful and peaceful tenure.

Responding, the State Controller expressed appreciation to the Kwara State Government for the warm reception and reiterated the Command’s commitment to working closely with the State Government to strengthen emergency response and enhance fire safety across the State. He also solicited the Government’s continued support and collaboration towards achieving the Command’s mandate.

The visits concluded with group photographs to commemorate the occasion.
