The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara StateTraditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has sent his heartfelt congratulations to the Grand Mufti of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh (Dr.) Sulaiman Faruq Onikijipa OON, on the well-deserved award bestowed on him by The Corporation of the City of Brampton, Canada.

This is contained in a congratulatory message issued on Sunday by the Emir’s Spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari noted that the honour is a testament to Sheikh Onikijipa’s exemplary leadership, scholarship, and global representation of Islam and the Ilorin Emirate.

Speaking further, the Emir added that, “This prestigious international recognition, presented by the City of Brampton, acknowledges not only your personal contributions but also the valued role of the Nigerian community in promoting cultural diversity, community spirit, faith, and shared prosperity abroad.

“The Grand Mufti has consistently projected the values of tolerance, scholarship, and service, both at home and in the diaspora, thereby bringing honour to Ilorin Emirate in particular and Nigeria in general.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to bless Sheikh Onikijipa with wisdom, good health, and greater strength to serve Islam, humanity, and the Emirate.
