Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has criticised former presidential media aide Bashir Ahmad over his remarks concerning the Osun State governorship election.

The disagreement followed a post by Davido on his X handle on Thursday, in which he praised President Bola Tinubu’s telephone conversation with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, over the directive to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to vacate the court order freezing the state’s account.

Davido said he was present during the conversation between the President and the governor, describing the moment as one in which he had “witnessed history.”

Ahmad subsequently reacted to Davido’s comments, prompting a response from the singer.

In his reply, Davido dismissed Ahmad’s political standing, describing him as “a small boy who came into politics by accident.”

The exchange comes amid heightened political attention surrounding the Osun governorship election and developments involving the state government and the Federal Government.

Davido, who is the nephew of Governor Adeleke, has previously been vocal about political issues and has publicly supported his uncle’s political activities.

The latest disagreement between the singer and Ahmad has generated reactions on social media, with users weighing in on the political exchange between the two public figures.
