Christy Knowings, the actor and comedian best known for her role on Nickelodeon’s popular sketch comedy series All That, has died at the age of 46.

Knowings died in Los Angeles on Tuesday after being hospitalized days earlier following a severe asthma attack.

According to reports, the actress suffered the attack on Friday and was placed on life support after experiencing brain damage. Her family later decided to remove her from life support on Tuesday night.

Her death was announced the following day by her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, in a Facebook post.

Knowings gained recognition through her appearances on All That, a long-running children’s television program that helped launch the careers of several young actors and comedians.

The circumstances surrounding her death have drawn attention to the serious health risks associated with severe asthma attacks.
