The Presidency has rejected allegations that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is behind recent disruptions affecting opposition party activities, describing the claims as baseless and politically motivated.
Presidential adviser Bayo Onanuga made the remarks yesterday, during an interview on national television dismissing reports that the President interfered with opposition meetings or events, particularly those involving the alliance between Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and others under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Onanuga denied that the Tinubu administration is suppressing the dispute, insisting that freedom of speech and political association remain protected.
Commenting on the Atiku-Obi coalition, Onanuga argued that past political mergers had not guaranteed success.while questioning Atiku’s electoral strategy and highlighted what he described as President Tinubu’s continued support in the North, citing key appointments and federal initiatives.
