Dr. Samuel Tsebe, a member of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Tsebe, a former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Akwanga South Constituency, disclosed his decision to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Akwanga on Monday.
He said he submitted his resignation letter to the APC chairman of his ward, Akwanga West Electoral Ward, citing personal reasons and his desire to pursue his political ambitions.
“This is to pursue my future political ambition in order to serve my people, my community and the nation at large,” Tsebe said.
The NASIEC commissioner expressed appreciation to the APC and its leadership for the opportunities he received while serving in various capacities within the party.
Tsebe also called for support for the SDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
