The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Kwara State Command, has sought stronger collaboration with Emirate FM 98.5 in Ilorin to enhance public awareness of fire safety and emergency preparedness.
The State Controller, DCF Ibrahim Adisa, led a delegation from the command on a working visit to the radio station in Sango, Ilorin, where he highlighted the importance of sustained public sensitisation in preventing fire outbreaks and protecting lives and property.

Adisa said the mandate of the Federal Fire Service goes beyond firefighting to include rescue operations, fire prevention and emergency response.
He urged members of the public to take fire safety advisories seriously and comply with established safety standards to reduce the risk of fire incidents and other emergencies.

Responding, Emirate FM’s Operations Manager, Mrs Bukola Omoshewo, thanked the Controller for the visit and for sharing vital information on fire safety.
She expressed the station’s readiness to support the FFS Kwara Command’s public enlightenment campaigns and other initiatives aimed at preventing fire outbreaks.

The visit was aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and using the media to improve public understanding of fire prevention and emergency response measures.
