Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Ilorin, Kwara State, for the turbaning of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Sardauna of the Ilorin Emirate.
Shettima was received at the airport by governors, ministers, senators and BUA Group Chairman Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu.
The vice president is also scheduled to inaugurate two major projects in the state on Wednesday as part of activities surrounding the turbaning ceremony.
The projects include the Kwara Garment Factory, a flagship initiative of the AbdulRazaq administration, which is expected to employ at least 4,000 people when operating at full capacity.
Shettima will also inaugurate the 11-storey headquarters of the Kwara State Revenue Service (KWRS).
The state government said the revenue service building was financed with savings from consultancy fees that would otherwise have been paid to external consultants.
