Residents of Nyido-Tosso Ward in Kurmi Local Government Area of Taraba State have appealed to the state government and relevant authorities to urgently rehabilitate or reconstruct the collapsed Kufai Bawuru Bridge.

The residents said the bridge, which connects several communities in the area, has become difficult and dangerous to use following its collapse, raising concerns about the movement of people and goods.

They noted that the bridge is a major route for farmers transporting agricultural produce to markets and for traders accessing goods and services in neighbouring communities.

Residents also expressed concern that the situation could affect access to schools, healthcare facilities and other essential services, potentially isolating communities if the disruption persists.

They therefore called for immediate government intervention to restore the bridge and ease movement within the area.
